ArtEM International Olympiad is an educational competition designed to inspire and challenge students worldwide in the fields of Art, English, and Mathematics. It is organized by ArtEM Education, an innovative international platform that promotes creative learning and global academic excellence.
The ArtEM Olympiad provides students with an academic environment that encourages both analytical and creative thinking. The competition aims to help students discover the joy of learning, strengthen their problem solving abilities, and express their creativity through art and logical reasoning.
Unlike traditional exams that often focus on memorization and repetition, the ArtEM Olympiad emphasizes practical understanding, creativity, and real world application of knowledge. Each section Art, English, and Math is carefully designed to align with the general curriculum while encouraging independent thought, imagination, and critical reasoning.
Through exciting and meaningful challenges, participants have the opportunity to enhance their confidence, global awareness, and intellectual curiosity. ArtEM not only helps students build strong academic foundations but also nurtures skills such as creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration essential abilities for the 21st century.

III. REGULATIONS ABOUT AGE GROUP AND EXAM STRUCTURE

All students from age 7 to 18 in terms of category requirements can be participated
Categories
Art Categories:
Davinci Group ( Ages 7-10) - My dream playground
Picasso Group ( Ages 11-14) - Earth in my hands
Dali Group ( Ages 15-18) - Artificial Intelligence in my life
English and Math Categories:
ArtEM 1- Grades 3 & 4
ArtEM 2 - Grades 5 & 6
ArtEM 3 - Grades 7 & 8
ArtEM 4 - Grades 9 & 10
ArtEM 5 - Grades 11 & 12
Students choose the category based on the school year 2025-2026. For example, a student having finished Grade 3 of the school year 2024-2025 will register for category “Grade 4”.
Exam Structure
Format: 100% online.
Access: Each registered student receives a unique exam link + login & password by email on the exam day (sent to the email used at registration).
Window to start: The link is valid during the official exam window. Once a student clicks “Start,” the timer begins.
One attempt: One submission per student. Refreshing/closing the page does not grant a restart.
Total questions: 25
5 questions × 3 points = 15 points
5 questions × 2 points = 10 points
15 questions × 1 point = 15 points
Total points: 40 points
Question types: multiple choice.
Time limit: 60 minutes from the moment the student starts.
Navigation: forward/back is allowed unless otherwise noted; unanswered items score 0.
Time-break (if needed): No time-break recommended because every student have only one chance to pass the exam.
Task: Create and submit an original artwork aligned with the assigned theme for the student’s age group (Davinci / Picasso / Dali).
Submission: Upload a JPG or PNG of the artwork via the exam link before time expires. Clear photos of hand-drawn works are accepted.
File rules (adjustable):
Max size 20 MB; recommended minimum side 1500 px.
No signatures/watermarks on the artwork.
File name: Group_Category_FullName_Country.jpg (e.g., Picasso_ArtEM3_AidaTan_SG.jpg).
Time limit: 90–120 minutes from start (depending on category; published in the portal on exam day).
Evaluation: rubric based, by qualified judges; results reported as a score out of 40 (converted from rubric bands to maintain consistency across subjects).
Email received: On the exam day, student gets an email with exam link + login/password and the official exam window (start/end time).
Login & ID check: Student logs in, verifies name/category; reads rules.
Start exam: Timer begins.
English/Math: answer all items, review, submit.
Art: complete artwork, photograph/scan clearly, upload file, confirm submission.
Submit: One final confirmation screen → “Submit.”
Receipt: On-screen confirmation and email receipt of submission.
Stable internet; a computer is recommended (tablet acceptable).
Updated browser (Chrome/Edge/Safari/Firefox).
For Art: a phone/camera to photograph the final piece with good lighting.
Disable auto-translate/autofill tools; keep only the exam tab open.
Independent work: no external help (people/AI/tools), no group chats, no screen sharing.
Materials: unless specified, no calculators or reference materials for Math/English; standard drawing materials allowed for Art.
Monitoring: platform logs navigation/time; suspicious activity may trigger review or disqualification.
