ALL YOU NEED FOR ArtEM OLYMPIAD
ArtEM is a privately run, US-hosted international Olympiad that unites Art (Drawing), English, and Mathematics into one coherent learning experience. We don’t treat these disciplines as silos: ArtEM challenges ask students to create, reason, and communicate linking creative expression, clear English, and quantitative thinking to real-world contexts.
Our aim is to reshape how students see their studies: what they learn in class becomes useful, visible, and relevant. Through authentic tasks and transparent rubrics, ArtEM cultivates curiosity, precision, and the ability to explain ideas visually and verbally. We’re building a global community that values fairness, growth, and impact recognizing excellence while giving every participant actionable feedback and an official ArtEM certificate.
Confidence through achievement: International participation and clear scoring criteria help students set goals, perform under standards, and earn confidence from real results.
Ownership & responsibility: Students manage their own accounts, submissions, and deadlines developing self discipline and professional habits.
Digital fluency & time management: Online exams and submissions reinforce careful tool use, safe digital practices, and efficient timing.
Motivation via recognition: Awards ($200 / $150 / $100) and official ArtEM certificates (including achievement/participation) provide meaningful milestones that keep students engaged.
Positive identity as creators & thinkers: Learners start seeing themselves not only as test-takers, but as authors, designers, and problem-solvers
Integrated mastery (Art • English • Math): Tasks connect drawing/design, academic English, and mathematical reasoning e.g., a visual concept backed by data and explained with precise writing.
Real-world application: Prompts mirror authentic scenarios (visual storytelling, data informed design, clear written justification), so skills transfer beyond the classroom.
Clear, fair evaluation: Published rubrics, anonymized judging, and transparent score breakdowns show what “excellent” looks like and how to reach it.
Portfolio & credentials: Students build a portfolio-ready body of work and receive ArtEM certificates that support future school and scholarship applications.
Global benchmarking: Competitors measure themselves against peers in Grades 3–12 worldwide, gaining perspective on standards and expectations.
Learning resources: Concise guides and practice tasks help students improve technique (Art), structure arguments (English), and justify claims with numbers & logic (Math).
Growth mindset: Feedback highlights next steps, turning results into a plan for steady improvement rather than a one-time score.
