What is ArtEM?
ArtEM is an international Olympiad platform that unites Art (Drawing), English, and Mathematics into one coherent learning philosophy. Instead of treating these subjects as separate silos, ArtEM integrates creative expression, academic communication, and analytical thinking into a single, real world learning experience.
ArtEM emphasizes:
Creativity + Method: students learn how artistic thinking, clear English communication, and mathematical reasoning reinforce each other.
Applied learning: tasks mirror real situations visual storytelling with data, design informed by logic, and writing that explains ideas precisely.
Growth mindset: transparent rubrics and actionable feedback help students improve, not just collect scores.
What is the ArtEM International Olympiad?
The ArtEM International Olympiad is an online global competition for students in Grades 3–12, designed around ArtEM’s integrated approach.
Who it’s for
Learners who are passionate about drawing/visual design, English, and mathematics and want to see how these strengths combine in authentic challenges.
How it works
Categories by grade: ArtEM 1 (Grades 3–4), ArtEM 2 (5–6), ArtEM 3 (7–8), ArtEM 4 (9–10), ArtEM 5 (11–12).
Art Groups & Themes (visual track):
Davinci (Ages 7–10): My Dream Playground
Picasso (Ages 11–14): Earth in My Hands
Dali (Ages 15–18): Artificial Intelligence in My Life
Fair evaluation: published criteria, anonymized judging, and clear score breakdowns.
Recognition: $200 / $150 / $100 for the top 3 in each category, official ArtEM certificates for all participants.
Accessibility: online format and a modest $25 registration fee keep barriers low.
Learning resources: participants get concise guides and practice tasks that show how creativity, language, and logic intersect helping them build portfolio ready work.
